The food kept coming, and the waiter never really checked to see how we were doing with the portion sizes (to know when to stop). We foolishly listened to the waiter and ordered the chef's choice. Alcohol was not the major factor in the high price of the meal: one round of cocktails, one bottle of wine at roughly $70, and one bottle at roughly $150. In that case, you can read all the other four- and five-star reviews, and you will likely enjoy the experience. And I say all of this seriously: I understand that some people might enjoy that sort of vibe and be less concerned about value for money, less concerned about fine dining. If you plan to spend at least twenty minutes figuring out what you plan to wear, so you can be seen, at just the right table, then ignore my review. If you think that servers singing "happy birthday" in loud voices, a la Applebees, hoisting lit-up signs, aligns with your fine dining expectations, then ignore my review. If your ears have superhuman signal-to-noise processing, then ignore my review. If you are someone who thinks bottle service equals a great time and good value, then ignore my review.
